New State-of-the-Art Memory Care Assisted Living Community in The Villages

Sonata Senior Living, an Orlando-based owner, developer and operator of senior living communities, is pleased to announce that construction is underway on its third purpose-built memory care assisted living community, Serenades by Sonata in The Villages.  The 45 unit, 56 bed community will be located at 2450 Parr Drive, just southeast of the intersection of County Road 466 and Belvedere Blvd., adjacent to The Villages Public Library.

Scheduled to open in December 2013, the community is specifically designed and programmed to care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other memory impairments. Sonata’s Serenades program has been recognized by the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) in 2012 and 2011 as “Best of the Best” for its state-of-the-art purpose-built design and innovative programming centered on “person-directed care.”

Serenades by Sonata will offer specialized care in the award-winning memory care assisted living community featuring three distinct “neighborhoods”, each comprised of 15 units offering spacious private and semi-private suites. Each neighborhood has a kitchen and dining area, as well as a living room that opens to a sunroom and into a fully accessible 10,000 s.f. inviting interior courtyard boasting lush gardens, walking paths, butterfly gardens and raised gardening beds.

The single story, 37,500 s.f. building is designed to create a home-like, comfortable environment that encourages freedom and choice for residents while integrating the latest safety features and technologies in an unobtrusive manner. The community also includes a family lounge, a putting green and children’s play area to provide comfortable, inviting venues that encourage families to visit and share in the lives of their loved ones.
